Email Changes for Adobe Business Catalyst



Business Catalyst are improving the security of their email services.

In order to better protect your e-mail communication, Adobe Business Catalyst have made some changes to the way you can access your email inbox in browser or in an email client (such as Outlook). They have created a dedicated secure domain for email. The new domain will be used to access your email from browser and email client as well.

While you will be able to continue using the existing email settings until 15th April 2016, it is recommended to update your email settings as soon as possible to benefit from the enhanced security features.

To update your email client or your mobile device settings, follow the steps described in the Business Catalyst documentation, under  http://docs.businesscatalyst.com/tutorials/email

If you use 'web mail' then you can begin using https://mail.worldsecureemail.com now.

DOES THIS CHANGE AFFECT ME?

You can check by following these steps.

1. Visit your website for example;  www.YOURDOMAIN.com.au

2. Change the ‘www’ to ‘mail’. For example; mail.YOURDOMAIN.com.au.

If you see the picture below, you MUST MAKE THESE CHANGES.  (If you see anything else, then you can disregard this notice.)

Important:

The current mailbox settings will continue to work until 15th April 2016. After this date, you will not be able to send or receive messages using your email client, unless you change your connection settings.

We also strongly advise you to change your email password, by logging into webmail (using https://mail.worldsecureemail.com) and browsing to Settings -> Password. There, you will be able to set a new password for accessing your mailbox.

You Can Access Your Email In Two Ways:
- Option 1:   Using Web Mail through any Internet browser
- Option 2:   Using Email software on your computer or phone
 
Option 1:  What You Need To Do If You Use WebMail:
From now on go to this web address to access email:  https://mail.worldsecureemail.com
 
Option 2:  What You Need To Do If You Use Email Software:
If you use email software to send and receive email messages like Outlook or Apple Mail, or if you have email configured on your mobile phone, then you need to open the email software that you use and make some changes to the settings for your email Account.
 
Do It Yourself  OR  Get An I.T. Person:
Many of you will be able to implement these email settings changes yourself.  For more details on how to update your email software settings, follow the steps described in the Adobe Business Catalyst article How to configure SSL encryption for your email client
 
If you have absolutely no-idea about computers, consider getting the person that managers your computers to do the email configuration on your computer or phone for you.

Inbound Server Type: IMAPS (993) / POP (995)
User Name: username@mydomain.com
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication Method: Normal Password
 
Outbound (send emails)
Outbound Server: mail.worldsecureemail.com
Outbound Server Type: SMTPS (465)
User Name: username@mydomain.com
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication Method: Normal Password
